Connemara Event Stallion

Great fun at the British Eventing JAS Finals at Hartpury. Dougal loves these classes, pity the jockey had her "slow" pants on and got two very expensive time faults but still finished 5th.

Dougal made a great start to 2018 qualifying for the BE JAS Finals having won the 1BE100 Open class at Arena UK. This was followed by a great day in the BS at Hill House, 4 clear rounds resulted in a 2nd in the Senior Discovery and a win in the 1.15 Open. He's turning into a show jumper!!!  Another 4 clear rounds this weekend winning both the Senior Discovery and 1.05m Open.

Dougal flying in the jump off, jumping three immaculate clear rounds today to qualify for the Riding Clubs Equi - Theme Indoor 1.10m Show Jumping Championships.

Really good end to the season, he jumped a lovely double clear at Norton Disney Horse Trials,

Dougal had a great weekend at Osberton Horse Trials winning the Eventer Trial Finals and finishing 2nd in the Arena Eventing.

Donna Miller, owner of the two colts that we sold to America was thrilled when one of them, Diege Dolphin was Overall Halfbred Champion at the American Connemara Pony Society Show at Chattoochee Hills.

Two of our home bred colts, the yearling Diego Dolphin and the foal Dolphins Law have today flown off to their new home in America. Donna Miller has bought them to use as breeding stallions, we wish them great success.

A good end to the season when finishing 2nd in the Eventer Trial Final at The BE Young Horse Championships at Osberton. He had won both his qualifiers and ended up top of the League Table, he is becoming a bit of a pro at these classes!

DOUGAL completed the hat trick when winning the British Connemara Performance Day one day event for the third year running. It was held in conjunction with an Open Event at Elland Lodge which he also won. He not only won the Connemara open one day event but also the dressage, show jumping, combined training and cross country!!!!

Dougal jumped a fabulous double clear in the BE100 Arena Eventing Championships at Blenheim Horse Trials. The result was decided by the one nearest the optimum time and sadly he was 0.2 of a second over so incurred 0.4 of a time penalty, finishing 5th, but still a great result.

Dougal really showed off in his first BE Novice event at Frickley. A good dressage, 4 faults in the show jumping but there was only one clear round in the whole section, and clear cross country although with a few time faults. Even so, he finished 6th and Nicola was thrilled with him.

Dougal is polishing his halo again, having made it three wins in a row after winning the second Shelford 1m Eventer Trial. Roll on Osberton!

We have had a great weekend at Chatsworth Horse Trials. Dougal contested the new British Eventing Arena Eventing BE100 classes finishing 6th on Friday and then 2nd on Saturday in a class of 40. It was a brilliant course on undulating ground with very few clear rounds being jumped. Dougal thought it was brilliant fun.

Another good Arena Eventing result, this time at Houghton Hall where he finished 5th and has now amassed enough points to qualify for the final at Blenheim.

DOUGAL had great fun today showing off at the Belton stallion parade. He had his first mare of the season yesterday so it says something for his temperament that he has come out today and behaved immaculately.

Enjoying Badminton Stallion Parade.

Having ffinished 4th on his first run of the season at the Burghley Pony Club Hunter Trials he was then 3rd in a huge BE100 Open section at Norton Disney Horse Trials.

We were delighted today when Dougal graded as a Premium Stallion with SHB(GB).

DOUGAL strutting his stuff at the Burghley Horse Trials Stallion parade.

At his first BE Event of the season our clever boy won the BE100 class at Buckminster in atrocious conditions: 28 Dressage and double clear.

Nicola's nine year old daughter Lucy having fun on her favourite pony!
